Provide the requested information on the Create a PIN screen. Your PIN must contain both alpha and numeric characters, must not contain common trivial patterns, and must be between 6 and 30 characters in length. Special characters are not honored, and the period punctuation character is not allowed. |

It is a good idea to choose a PIN that you can remember, but would be difficult for anyone else to figure out. Names of pets, cars (ie..'57Chevy), or favorite foods are examples of good choices for a PIN. Combinations of upper and lower case letters, and numerals, are your best choices as these make your PIN more difficult for someone else to guess. (For example...use br0cc0li instead of broccoli, ab1ga1l instead of Abigail.) Names of family members, social security numbers, birthdays, common nicknames, etc. are NOT good choices as these can easily be discovered. |

The ability to View Your Record is confirmation that you have created a valid PIN. |
REMEMBER this PIN. You will be asked for it whenever you want to view your record, request items, and renew books online.
If you get the message - Your PIN is not complex enough to be secure. Please select another one - when trying to create or change your PIN, make sure that you have entered at least 6 characters containing both numerals and letters, and that you have not entered a period or "trivial" pattern of characters.

If you forget your PIN, get in touch with the Circulation area in the library you use the most or use the online request form at http://griffin.wsu.edu/screens/havPin.htm to have your PIN deleted so that you can create a new one.
If you want to change your PIN, you can do it at any time from within the My Record/Library function.
